STEAMQueens

What's been happening!

Some of our amazing STEAMQueens have been learning how to program the NEW tech, that has just arrived at STEAMWORKS. 

Thymio bots are going to slowly, replace the Sphero tech, as they are able to do so much more!

We are excited to be using these with our STEAM Tech taster students to learn how to program them for their learning task.

Eleven of our amazing STEAMQueens recently took the afternoon to meet a group of engineers working on the new level crossing site in Lilydale. 

We met up with YRTS educators and walked across to the building site where we met the project manager and civil engineer, 'Damo'.

We were told about all the different facets of 'engineering' and how it all started with building LEGO blocks - "they just get bigger" said Damo.
