VIETNAM VETERAN INTERVIEWS

As part of an extra-curricular event, LHS students participated in interviewing Vietnam veterans for the 2021 Anzac Day Awards. 

Students are putting together a documentary as the school’s entry to the competition and developed the questions that the veterans responded to.

Many thanks to veterans, Stephen Shortis (interviewed by Molly Keyhoe and Taylah Mae Gundry), Aff Binmore (interviewed by Ella McLeod and Shayla Nunn), Bill Dobson (interviewed by Elle Gordon and Leakhena Davison), Ken McKenzie (interviewed by Mackenzie Reid and Bec Clarke), and Bob Richardson (interviewed by Peter Paladino). 

Thanks also to local historian, Anthony McAleer OAM, for his assistance in the project.

The veterans were grateful for the opportunity to speak about their experiences with students and were very appreciative of their efforts and community engagement.
