What a lovely, sunny, autumn day we had on Friday 26th May for the Ascot Vale District Cross Country event. 36 of our best runners from Year 3-6 represented our school and had a wonderful time as they competed against students from 12 other schools within our District. We had some fantastic results on the day and are very proud of all of the students who attended as they gave their all and ran to the best of their abilities.

Well done to the following students who participated on the day.

From Matthew L, 4D

On Friday 26th of May, I went to the District Cross Country with the other NMPS people who had completed in the top six. It was at Aberfeldie Park. It was 2km track with a hill about 200 metres from the start. It was a 15 degrees and sunny. There were lots of different schools there. In my race, there were 30 competitors, I got stuck at the back and the path was thin. The hill gave me a big advantage, as I have been training on them for ages. I was able to pass most of the people. I was second for quarter of the way, then I zoomed past. I crossed the finished line in First place. I received a Certificate, all of the NMPS community were celebrating with me. Next, I go to Divisional Cross Country, I am hoping I make it to Regionals.
