Year 5 News
Excursion
From Hayley, Year 5 teacher
Last Monday, the Year 5 cohort went on an excursion to the Immigration museum. Our purpose was to find the difference between colonisation and immigration, and why people have immigrated to Australia.
Our visit included exploring the immigration museum with our very own passport booklets. We enjoyed watching films, playing interactive activities and observing artefacts.
We also walked along the Yarra River to Birrarung Marr where we explored the semicircle of metal shields representing each of the five groups of the Kulin Nation, Federation Bells and he Willian Barak pedestrian bridge.
We had a wonderful day.
