The Addams Family

Playing Gomez in The Addams Family Musical was a blast. The role enabled me to immerse myself in Gomez’s charm, energy and the love that he had for his family. Each performance was very special and unique and hearing the laughter and applause from the audience was incredibly rewarding and made all the rehearsals and hard work worth it. It was an honour sharing the stage with such a talented cast, and I am forever grateful for all the hard work that the teachers and parent helpers put in to bring the show to life.

Being apart of the amazing and extremely hardworking backstage crew for The Addams Family Musical was one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences to participate in at Ivanhoe Grammar School. I was lucky enough to work alongside talented, creative, inspired and dedicated students, who all came together to help create such an amazing production. It was so much fun to work with and get to know students from across all the year levels at Plenty Campus, each with a unique, special talent. Students in the backstage crew managed everything from the props on stage, to the lighting and sound, the hair and makeup, the costumes and even the welcoming and greeting of members of the audience about to enjoy the show. The most special part about The Addams Family Musical is that there was a place for everyone who wanted to participate, and all were made welcome by our extremely talented and hard-working teachers.
