Summer Sport Premierships

Girls' Volleyball

Ella Rowe, Vice- Captain Year 12, Ridgeway Campus

Premierships are hard to make, let alone win, it’s a true reflection of the time and commitment put in across many training sessions, practice matches. A true testament to the discipline and dedication of not one, but a team of girls, and range of coaching staff as well.

Winning three in a row is something special, something that many people won’t get to come across, and certainly something none of the girls will forget. After remaining undefeated the whole AGSV season, the bus ride out to our Saturday morning home Dandenong was full of excited energy as it was every Saturday. Our consistent warmup set us up to play exactly the way we had so many times during the season. We managed to get on top of Caulfield for the second year in a row not only on the court but our Ivy Army carrying us from the sidelines.

Here’s to all the memories and laughs along the way, to all the early mornings and the late nights up on the Gold Coast. A massive thankyou to Tanya and Mr. Mac for teaching us how to become a team and building the amazing volleyball culture at Ivanhoe. Winners are grinners, fingers crossed three can become four, and many more in the future. Go girls!!
