Making Love Visible
By Fr Henri Nouwen
It is God's love that allows us to love one another. It is that first love that is the basis for all creative human relationships. It is that love that we want to make visible to each other, among each other, and with each other.
Jesus said, “Love one another because I have loved you first.”

Vinnies Refugee Event
Eight members of the De Mazenod Vinnies Conference engaged with students from St Brigid’s College in an event for Refugee Week. Students and staff listened to a presentation about the refugee crisis in Australia. This was followed by a budgeting activity in which students were allocated different situations (e.g. single parent of 2, a couple with a dog, etc.) and were given a budget based on the allowance that refugees in those circumstances receive from the Australian government, and they had to choose how they would spend it.
Finally, the group spent the last half-hour packing the gift packs that we donate to the Refugee Clinic at Perth Children's Hospital, which include pencil cases, dental and body hygiene products, hats, lunch boxes and more. Thank you to the students and staff who participated, as well as St Brigid’s College for hosting this worthwhile event.
