Team Mazzarati Wins H2GP WA Finals — Next Stop: Germany!

Mazenod College is proud to announce that Team Mazzarati has taken out first place at the 2025 H2GP WA Finals, finishing an incredible 172 laps ahead of 2nd place Thunderstruck (Belridge Senior High School). Their hydrogen-powered car performed with precision and reliability, the result of months of dedicated engineering, testing and teamwork.

The Hydrogen Grand Prix is a global competition that challenges students to design, build and race remote-controlled hydrogen vehicles. It’s as much about sustainability and innovation as it is about speed, and our team rose to the occasion. Our team consisted of Joseph C, Zachariah M, Lincoln R, Hudson B and Stuart H.

This victory now earns Team Mazzarati a place at the H2GP World Finals in Chemnitz, Germany in August, where they will race against top student teams from across the globe on the world stage. It's a remarkable achievement and a proud moment for Mazenod College – a history in the making.

Congratulations to the students and a huge shoutout to Mr Mark Cusworth for all the hours he has dedicated to making this incredible achievement a reality. Bring on Chemnitz and I look forward to seeing our team achieve their best against the best.
