German Immersion

This term in German Immersion 

Honours, our students have been busy designing their own deutsche Traumstadt (German dream town).

They learned German building and street names such as Denkmalhof (monument square), Blumenpark (flower park), Rathaus (town hall) and Krankenhaus(hospital).

Students then created their own town layouts, designing the streets and buildings themselves. Using this, they produced a narrated walkthrough in German, screen-recording directions and prepositions to show how to get from places such as the Bäckerei(bakery) to the Tankstelle (petrol station).

This has been a fantastic interdisciplinary unit, integrating German, DigiTech, and Humanities (liveability), a wonderful example of where German can take you.
