Students will take part in a range of enrichment activities delivered by faculties. Each morning begins in the Sports Hall before students move into their assigned groups.Students should wear their sports uniform and bring usual school equipment.
Attendance
Families who begin holidays early will have absences coded as Attendance Not Expected, which does not impact attendance rates. Regular roll-marking and absence notifications will still apply, so please notify the school if your child will be away.
We look forward to celebrating student achievements and providing meaningful learning experiences as we conclude the school year.
Reminder to Update Family & Student Details
As we move toward the end of the year, we kindly ask all families to ensure that the school has the most up-to-date information on file. Accurate details help us communicate important updates and support the wellbeing of every student.
If you have recently changed your home address, contact numbers, email details, or emergency contacts, please let us know so we can update your records.
We also ask parents and carers to advise us of any new medical conditions or changes to a student’s existing health needs. Managing student medical requirements – particularly for significant health conditions or when medication is required at school – can involve additional steps. If this applies to your child, our team will provide further guidance once notified.
If any of the above information needs updating, please email enrolments@thegapshs.eq.edu.au

Support for 2026 School Camp Costs – Saver Plus Program
The Gap State High School is pleased to share a valuable opportunity for families through Saver Plus, a government-funded matched savings and financial education program delivered by The Smith Family.
As many families begin planning for next year’s schooling or prepare to transition into new stages of education, Saver Plus is here to help manage the associated costs. The program supports eligible families with school-related expenses through matched savings and free financial education workshops.
Saver Plus
Saver Plus is a government-funded financial inclusion program that supports eligible participants with up to $500 in matched savings to help cover their child’s education costs. Alongside the financial support, participants gain valuable budgeting skills that contribute to long-term financial well-being.
As families prepare for new school year levels, Saver Plus can assist with a wide range of education-related expenses, including:
- Devices and technology
- Excursions and camps
- Subject-specific resources
- And many other approved costs
Families can also enquire directly by calling 1300 610 355 or by clicking the ‘Enquire Now’ button on The Smith Family website under the Saver Plus financial literacy program. A Savings Coach will then be in touch for a friendly chat.
