Hello and welcome to this edition of our school newsletter. As always, it has been a busy time at The Gap State High School, and last week and this week have been no different.

 

What a joyful night we had last Thursday evening for our Year 12 graduation. It was heartwarming to see that cohort of Year 12s graduate with such a special celebration.

 

This week, we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our young people again with our Junior Excellence Awards. I am so proud that we have more students than ever in our junior secondary years performing at an outstanding level academically, in sport, and culturally as well. I look forward to shaking many hands tonight as we recognise these achievements heading into the end of the year.

 

I am incredibly grateful to our families, parents, carers and grandparents for the support you provide your young people to ensure they can come to this fine school and flourish in their learning and everyday experiences.

 

Please make sure you read in this edition of the newsletter what is happening in our final three weeks of school so that you can make the right decisions for your young person.
