Year 3 News

Getting to know you
Year 3 has begun with a wonderful sense of enthusiasm and curiosity. Students have been busy settling into their new classroom, getting to know their teacher and peers, and building positive connections with one another. They have been revisiting important school routines and expectations, exploring different learning spaces, and participating in activities that encourage teamwork and confidence. This time has helped create a safe and supportive learning environment, setting a strong foundation for a happy and successful year of learning in Year 3.

School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support - Our Matrix

Students discussed what each value means and explored how they can demonstrate these values in the classroom and around the school. They have been showing kindness through respectful language and helping others, responsibility by caring for their belongings and learning spaces, and resilience by trying their best and persisting with challenges. These positive behaviours are helping to create a supportive, calm, and inclusive learning environment for all Year 3 students.

Through these experiences, students practised taking turns, listening respectfully to others, and offering encouragement to their classmates.
