Assistant Principal's Report

Dear Families and Students,
Welcome back to the new school year! I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing and restorative festive break with family and friends. It has been truly wonderful to see our students return with such enthusiasm, settling back into their routines and re-engaging with their learning across the school.
Building Our Foundation: T.E.A.M. Learning
To ensure every student is set up for a successful year, our classes have been deeply engaged in our T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More) learning program. This learning is central to our start-of-year transition, as it allows us to establish a shared language of collaboration and mutual respect. Our primary focus right now is on developing a genuine sense of belonging and connection. We know that when students feel safe, seen, and connected to their peers and teachers, they are best positioned to thrive academically and socially.
A special welcome goes out to our new Foundation students and families, who have begun their school life with us this week. It is a significant milestone for these families, and we are proud to support them as they take these first steps into our school community.
Every Day Counts: Consistency and Punctuality
As we establish our daily rhythms, I would like to remind families that the school day officially begins at 8:50 am. This ten-minute window is vital; it allows students to enter the classroom, organise their materials, and settle into the environment so they are calm and ready for learning at 9:00 am.
Maintaining a focus on being "on time and present" is one of the most impactful ways we can support student outcomes. In education, every day counts, and the consistency of being present for the start of the morning instruction sets a positive tone for the remainder of the day.
We look forward to a productive and inclusive term ahead. Thank you for your ongoing support in making our school a place where every student can belong and succeed.
Warm regards,
Israel Carroll
Assistant Principal
