Flowers and Flying Friends 

It has been so wonderful returning to school to see our garden buzzing with activity. The rain over the holidays has given everything a boost and there are flowers and new things growing everywhere. Our flying pollinator friends seem very happy exploring the garden.

Last week we welcomed the Year 4’s back to the kitchen with a smoothie recipe. We practised setting up chopping boards safely, and taking turns at chopping fruit and measuring ingredients. Once everything was measured we blended it and the team challenge was to divide it evenly amongst the glasses ( with some teams taking it very seriously). We garnished the smoothies with fresh mint and borage flowers from the garden.
