From Tess Vu, Senior school Art teacher
During the first week, students focused on completing their art projects from the end of last term.
Years 3 and 4 explored the work of the late Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, investigating her distinctive artistic style and use of repetitive patterns. Inspired by her artwork, students designed their own paper tiles, experimenting with pattern, colour and repetition to create individual designs.

Years 5 and 6 learned about Jeff Koons’ famous Balloon Dog sculpture. Students created their own balloon dog collages using coloured paper, mounted their designs onto a larger sheet and used their imaginations to draw unique settings for the background.

Art Club News
Art Club is back for Term 4 and will continue to run on Tuesdays at first play. This week, students continued creating signs for the Northside revegetation project. They are now focusing on designing signs that celebrate the local wildlife found in our school.
