Our school recently celebrated Science week, providing students with exciting opportunities to explore, investigate and experience science beyond the classroom.

Throughout the week, students from across the school participated in a range of fun and engaging science activities during break times. These hands-on activities encouraged students to ask questions, make predictions, test ideas and discover the science behind every day phenomena. The activities created a vibrant atmosphere around the school and allowed students to experience science in an enjoyable and accessible way.

A highlight of the celebrations was our Science Fair, featuring students from Years 7–9. Students developed and presented a variety of science projects, demonstrating their curiosity, creativity and scientific thinking. They had the opportunity to investigate questions of interest, conduct experiments, collect and analyse data, and communicate their findings to others.

The Science Fair also provided an authentic opportunity for students to apply the skills they develop in their science classes, including questioning, planning investigations, problem-solving, critical thinking and communicating scientific ideas.

It was wonderful to see students confidently explain their projects and share their learning with staff, parents and fellow students. The enthusiasm, effort and creativity demonstrated by our Year 7–9 students were truly commendable.

We would like to congratulate all students who participated in Science week activities and the Science Fair and thank our Science staff for their enthusiasm, preparation and support in making the celebrations a success.

Science week was a fantastic reminder that science is all around us and that curiosity, questioning and exploration are at the heart of scientific learning. We look forward to continuing to inspire our students to think, investigate, discover and innovate! 🧪🔬🚀

We congratulate our Science Fair winners.
