Year 7

Assistant Principal's Report

We are starting to see some warm weather, hopefully it will continue into the school holidays so that students can get out and about in the sunshine and recharge their batteries. 

Well done to all year 7 students on another productive term. The students continue to grow, have their routines well established and continue to develop academically, socially and emotionally, and forge friendships that will continue throughout their time at the college. 

Term 4 promises to continue to bring new experiences, new challenges and new opportunities for all students, and I’m confident they will be able to meet these head on and give themselves the best chance for success. 

With the weather expected to be warmer next term, students will again start wearing their summer uniform. For students who need assistance with the correct uniform, please ask your child to speak to their tutor teacher or a member of the middle years team. 

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. Working in partnership with families is a vital part of what makes our school a strong and connected place to learn and grow.

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 7

Congratulations to our Year 7 students on successfully completing Term 3! It has certainly been a busy term, filled with plenty of learning, new experiences and exciting opportunities to get involved in our school community.

One of the highlights was Multicultural Week, where students had the opportunity to celebrate the wonderful diversity within our school. It was fantastic to see our Year 7s embracing different cultures, traditions and experiences and recognising what makes our community so special.

Science Week brought plenty of excitement, with the zoo exhibits giving students an opportunity to explore science in an engaging and hands-on way. Book Week was another memorable occasion, particularly as it was the first Book Week dress-up at secondary school for WCC and our Year 7 students! There were some fantastic costumes and lots of enthusiasm throughout the cohort as they participated in book related activities.

We also finished off with the always exciting Night at the Museum, where students showcased their learning through impressive History exhibits, while the erupting volcanoes and virtual reality certainly added some extra excitement to the evening!

Throughout all of these events, our Year 7 students have continued to learn, grow and challenge themselves. We are incredibly proud of their continued development since beginning secondary school and of the way they continue to demonstrate respect, cooperation and excellence.

A huge congratulations to all of our Year 7 students for making it through another busy and successful term. We hope everyone enjoys a well-earned break, takes some time to recharge, and returns ready for an exciting final term of Year 7!
