Student Reflections:
On the 26th of April, our 9I, along with Ms. Sema and Mr. Dedes, embarked on an exciting excursion to the Melbourne Convention Centre. Our journey kicked off with a train ride from Watergardens, filled with anticipation and excitement. Along the way, we stopped at some places to see some scenic views before reaching the convention.
Upon arrival at the convention centre, we were immediately captivated by the BBC Earth Experience. It felt like stepping into a whole new world! The breathtaking visuals and captivating wildlife encounters kept us spellbound throughout. From towering mountains to tiny creatures, each moment was a fascinating exploration. We absorbed every detail, deepening our understanding and appreciation of the natural world. It was an unforgettable day that left us buzzing with excitement and eager to learn more about our planet's wonders.

On Friday the 26th of April, 9I travelled by train to the city as a part of our Humanities Geography and Food Security Unit. We began our day with a walk by the Yarra River to investigate litter traps and to see what is contained in them. It was very interesting to see the efforts put in place to stop pollution in the waterways.
We then walked to Melbourne Convention Centre, where we took part in the BBC Earth experience. We watched a documentary, narrated by David Attenborough, which took us through each of the Seven Continents. We were taken through their biomes and animals which inhabit them. It was a great experience, and it was really fascinating to watch. We then got involved in some interactive experiences at the convention centre, which involved a room projected with an ocean setting and a crawling insect simulation. It was an enjoyable experience, and I would highly recommend it.
Thank you for taking us on the excursion, it was a really fun day!
