Reconciliation Week

Student leaders from Year 7 and 8 were honoured to be invited to attend a smoking ceremony and flag raising at Derrimut Weelam Gathering Place in Mordialloc to launch Reconciliation Week locally. 

Kingston Council led lunchtime activities to broaden our community's understanding of First Nations culture and to reinforce respectful relationships. There was an indigenous map. Students selected an indigenous country and using post-it notes chose and then wrote a message about the significance to them.
