Parent Helpers – Child Safety Briefing Requirement

Dear Parents,

At St. Fidelis, the safety and well-being of every child is our highest priority. To ensure we meet our child safety obligations, all parent and family volunteers must complete a Child Safety Induction before participating in any school activities.

This is a requirement for all volunteers and  applies to all forms of involvement, including:

  • Parent & Friends events
  • Classroom support
  • Excursions and camps
  • Special events and school programs

Volunteers will not be able to support at St. Fidelis if the Child Safety Briefing requirement is not met.

The Briefing provides an overview of the child-safe standards and important information about our child safety policies, expected standards of behaviour, and how we work together to create a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Also, as part of our commitment to child safety, all volunteers must also:

Hold a current Working with Children Check and sign a Child Safety Code of Conduct after completing the Child Safety Induction.

We greatly value the support of our parent community and thank you for helping us maintain a safe and positive environment for all children.

I will run some briefing sessions in the next few weeks. If you are unable to attend, there will be additional sessions towards the end of the term.

I look forward to working with all the families.

Have a lovely week
