Curriculum Overviews
The Term 2 Curriculum Overviews are now available for families to view via Nforma. The overviews outline the key learning areas and topics students will focus on throughout the term. More details about what's happening in the classroom can be found each week in the newsletter.
The key areas of learning include:
English, Mathematics, Religious Education, Inquiry, TRP and our specialist areas, including Physical Education, Italian, Visual Arts, and STEM. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
Doris Blackburn Kindergarten visiting St Fidelis
The 4-year-old groups from Doris Blackburn kindergarten are visiting our school this week for a Robotics lesson in our STEM Space. Doris Blackburn kindergarten is our main feeder kindergarten and we have a long-standing relationship with them.
Other neighbouring Kindergartens will also visit our school in the coming weeks. Mr Frazzetto, Ms Wenckowski and some of our older students will assist the kindergarten children with a STEM activity. We look forward to having the students at our school.
Welcome Anna Di Simone
We welcome Anna Di Simone, whose role has been made possible through the support of the Parish. Fr Brendan has employed Anna, a registered VIT music teacher to work across three schools in the BMCC. Anna will be leading liturgical singing with the children on a fortnightly basis, enriching their faith and musical experience. We are very grateful to the Parish and to Fr Brendan for providing this wonderful opportunity for our children.
Winter Uniform
From Monday May 11th all children should be in full winter uniform. If for any reason your child is not in their uniform can you please email the teacher.
Winter Colds
At St Fidelis we continue to use hygienic measures daily such as hand sanitising before and after eating, washing hands after going to the toilet, using tissues and disposing them in the bin after use and air purifiers are allocated in all areas of the school.
If your child is presenting with cold-like symptoms it would be appreciated if you keep them home to ensure that germs are not spread in the classroom. If your child is sick at school and demonstrates any cold-like symptoms parents will be called to come and pick up their child.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding with this request.
