Foundation News

What wonderful weather was experienced last week at school! The Foundation students were very excited on Thursday as we marked Day 50 as we continue to count towards 100 Days of School!
In Numeracy, we have continued to learn about Part/Part/Whole as we break up numbers into two parts. We have used a variety of materials to show Part/Part/Whole in different ways. We have used double sided counters, unifix blocks, counters and number bonds to record our thinking.
Friday 1st May was a special day for our school as we came together to celebrate our Patron saint, St Fidelis. We began the day with Mass, then completed an activity with our buddies in Years 5 and 6 as they assisted us in making a little booklet about St Fidelis. This was followed by sport games which involved the whole school. We want to thank the Year 5 and 6 students for showing us how to play the different games. They were great teachers on the day! We all enjoyed our sushi lunch and the free zooper dooper. It really was a fantastic day!
