There are some fantastic opportunities this term for our St George’s families to interact with our school community. We always love to welcome parents, guardians and carers into the school, whether for formal events, carnivals or meetings. Over the next few weeks, we are holding several events where we are excited to open up our campuses to our families.
Next Tuesday 12 May sees us hosting our first round of Parent Teacher Interviews for Year 8 to 11 students, face to face here at 441 Murray Street. Whilst slightly reminiscent of speed dating, this is a valued opportunity for teachers and parents to build the strong relationships that we value so much at St George’s. Make sure that you pop to Level 2 between your interviews for a coffee and to meet some members of the 2026 Friends of St George’s Management Committee, who will make themselves available between their own interviews. Information about bookings for this event has been sent out to families, with spots filling rapidly.

On Tuesday 19 May, we have our Year 10, 11 and 12 Parent Sundowner, also at Murray Street Level 2. This is an excellent opportunity to meet other parents and make some supportive connections during these pivotal final years of schooling.
Additionally, this term we are running our second Afternoon Tea and Chatter and Parent Guest Speaker Series for 2026, on Wednesday 27 May at the Murray Street Campus. If you are free for a cup of tea and delicious scone, come along to catch up with the Executive and MESH HOLAs and stay for the guest speaker.
SEE our Parent Events page in this newsletter for easy access to book.
