Cruising on the Crystal Swan

It has been a fantastic start to the term, with a number of standout moments already shaping what promises to be a busy and rewarding Term Two.

Our Year 11 Students enjoyed a truly special evening aboard the Crystal Swan for the River Cruise on the Friday of Week 1. It was a night filled with energy, connection and celebration. The dance floor was an absolute highlight, with plenty of singing and dancing throughout the evening.

It was wonderful to see everyone dressed in their best and enjoying the evening. Thank you to all who attended. The Crystal Swan staff commented on how incredible the Year 11 Cohort was, they represented the school with respect and consideration for others and for staff.

Events like these are an important reminder of the value of social experiences outside of the classroom, where students can strengthen connections and create lasting memories.

The clock is ticking!

On Thursday of Week 1 this term, the Year 12 Class of 2026 celebrated an important milestone—100 days of school remaining. To mark the occasion, students were presented with a custom “100 Days To Go” T‑shirt, with the final design selected by the Student Leadership Team. The celebration featured a red carpet welcome, hot milos, music and plenty of fun, creating a memorable start to the final stretch of their schooling.

Year 11 & 12 assessments

As we move further into Semester One, our Year 11 and 12 students should be preparing for an important assessment period: the ESTs and Semester One Exams.

This can be a time of increased pressure, as students work to demonstrate their learning. However, starting early and building consistent study habits can significantly reduce stress and improve confidence going into exams. Below are some key reminders to support preparation:

  1. Plan ahead – create a realistic study timetable. Break revision into manageable sessions and ensure to include time for activities to support wellbeing.
  2. Revise with purpose – use past exam questions and timed practice to build familiarity with question styles and expectations.
  3. Seek support early – if students are unsure about any content, they should reach out to teachers early. If students are struggling with study habits, stress or wellbeing, they are welcome to speak with me. I am always happy to help and support.
  4. Wellbeing – maintaining balance is essential. Adequate sleep, regular breaks, and time outdoors all contribute to better focus and performance.
  5. Stay positive – confidence and mindset. Recognise effort and build self-belief.

We wish all our Year 11 and Year 12 Students the very best as they approach this assessment period. Please ensure to check exam and EST timetables carefully for assessment dates.
