Year 10 Aqua Camp

Year 10 Aqua Camp is always a highly anticipated and favoured Oxley experience, where students have the opportunity to pick one of three streams according to their interests and swim level—SCUBA, Surfing or Boating. Regardless of their selection, students have the opportunity across the camp to snorkel, stand-up paddleboard and boat. Driving around the Mornington Peninsula on Monday 16 to Friday 19 February, students braved God's creation across the open sea and were challenged far out of their comfort zones.
Even though you may feel tired or maybe a bit sunburnt by the end of it, it will be an experience you’ll never forget.

Diving into God's underwater creation invited me to learn more about the world that is below us and goes unseen.

I had an amazing experience with friends and the Oxley staff, particularly seeing lots of different animals under the pier, including two different stingrays we collectively named "Gary" and "Stumpy". We also saw a small shark which was quite fascinating. Overall this camp is a must go!

Year 10 Aqua Camp was an amazing opportunity to experience multiple new things, as well as develop stronger bonds with my peers, especially diving with seals! I also really enjoyed the night walk along the beach at Point Leo and am so grateful for the amazing memories made, these will stay with us for a lifetime.
