Work Inspirations Reach Out

Last week, we took some Year 9 students to 3 local businesses across 2 days. Students were exposed to a wide variety of roles and jobs, to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of day-to-day tasks and talk to staff about their own career journeys. On the first day, we went to Dahlsens Truss and Frame. On day 2 we went to Bairnsdale Regional Health Service and East Gippsland Shire Council.

BSC Soccer World Cup

Mr Deacon has started a BSC soccer competition, with some of our year 9's taking part. Georgia, Rahsa and Luka played in the Spain v Norway match. All students played really well and entertained spectators.

Apple Tarte Tatin

Student baked Apple Tarte Tatin in their Wide World of Food class.

Woodworking creations

The Year 9 Woodwork students are making a bedside table using a variety of different joints and tools.

Helping Hands

In preperation for R U OK? Day next week some very helpful Year 9 students offered to assist Caitlin with cut outs for the Year 9 R U OK? display. Sparking conversation about how would you ask someone if they were okay, who would you ask and what would prompt you to check in on someone.
