The final round of Coburg District Winter Sport saw our Year 5/6 students take on St Pauls in AFL 9s, Netball and Soccer.
The day was filled with energy, enthusiasm and outstanding sportsmanship, with all teams demonstrating determination, teamwork and a positive attitude throughout their matches.
Congratulations to our Girls AFL 9s team, who secured a fantastic victory through their strong teamwork, commitment and willingness to support one another. Our Boys/Mixed AFL 9s team produced a remarkable second-half comeback after trailing by 40 points at half-time, fighting back courageously and showing tremendous resilience before narrowly going down by just 5 points.
Both our Boys/Mixed Soccer and Girls Soccer teams also recorded impressive victories, showcasing excellent skill, persistence and teamwork throughout their matches.
Our Netball teams competed with great determination and spirit against strong opposition. Despite the challenging matches, the girls continued to work hard, support one another and demonstrate excellent sportsmanship until the final whistle.
Across all sports, students displayed resilience, commitment and a willingness to give their best for their teammates. Their positive attitude and effort were a credit to themselves and our school.
As the winter sports season comes to a close, our students should be extremely proud of their efforts and achievements. They consistently demonstrated respect, determination, fair play and school pride, representing St Fidelis in an outstanding manner and embodying the true spirit of school sport.
