Year 4 News

We hope all our families enjoy a safe, relaxing, and warm holiday break during the Melbourne winter!
To support continued learning, we have provided some optional holiday activities for students to complete over the break. These activities are designed to reinforce and review the concepts taught throughout the term. Please note that this learning is not mandatory; however, families may find it a valuable opportunity to revisit key skills and understandings with their child.
As always, all holiday learning materials have also been posted on Google Classroom for easy access.
A heartfelt thank you to Signora Rosa for organising a wonderful Italian Day for our students. The children arrived dressed in fantastic Italian-themed costumes and fully embraced the spirit of the celebration.
Throughout the day, students engaged in a range of engaging activities, including a magician incursion, Scopa, and a lively table running race. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, participation, and joy as students immersed themselves in the experiences provided. We truly appreciate the effort that went into creating such a memorable day for our school community.
A quick heads-up that next term our class novel will be The Wild Robot by Peter Brown.
If families would like to support their child’s engagement and participation, you are welcome to pre-read the book together at home. This can be a great way to build familiarity with the storyline, characters, and themes, helping students to feel more confident during class discussions and activities.
We look forward to exploring this novel together next term.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning!
