Foundation News

It is hard to believe that the Foundation students will have completed their First Semester of learning by the end of this week.
Last week, we were able to celebrate our very first Italian Day. It was a wonderful day which began with a whole school parade in the hall. The Foundation students dressed as pizzas, chefs, Mario characters, soccer players, gladiators, ancient romans and in the colours of the flag- green, white and red. Following the parade we watched a magician called The Great Armando who kept us very entertained with lots of magic tricks. Next we made our very own place mats in preparation for our delicious lunch of pizza, rice balls and cannoli. We were also lucky enough to watch the movie “Luca”. We really loved everything about Italian Day, and we would like to say “Grazie”to Signora Rosa for organising such a fun day!
As part of our Inquiry “What’s my Story? What’s your Story?” the foundation students have been learning to play different games such as marbles, elastics, jacks and cat’s cradle. We are excited to share our knowledge of these games with our school community on Wednesday 24th June.
