Year 11/12 Federation Square

On Tuesday the 8th of August the Year 11 and 12 Art Making & Exhibiting students travelled into the city to visit the Melbourne Now exhibition at the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. Students were able to experience a vast range of art forms from sculpture, painting, fashion to video and photography. Students engaged in immersive installations such as Shaun Gladwell’s participatory XR (extended reality) experience, Passing Electrical Storms and James Lemon’s tactile and colourful envelopment of the third-floor gallery space asking the viewer: What is it like to be a bee?

Overall, it was a fantastic day for students to travel and learn together and experience some of the best new and progressive local talents that Melbourne has to offer.
