Student Report
We are coming to the end of a busy term 3! The last day is September 15th. As we wrap up the term with many SACs and the year 12s soon to start exam revision before the final exams begin in October. And Year 10s and 11s heading into exams at the end of the year. Good luck to everyone!
The 3rd Meet and Connect is on the 31st of August and 1st of September which is a great opportunity for students and families to connect and share feedback. We had our 2024 year 10 information session where College Captains Kiara and Flynn were there to help welcome so many new faces to Tarneit Senior College which was amazing.
It’s super exciting to see the frames going up for the Chirnside building extension. As well as the progression to the new technology learning space which will be a great asset for future learning at Tarneit Senior College. On August 9th year 12 students watched some actors who came to our school to perform some scenes from both ‘The 7 Stages Of Grieving’ and ‘The Longest Memory’ which are texts they are currently studying for English.
On the 27th of July Year 12 Drama students participated in a full-day workshop in North Melbourne to work on their Solos for end-of-year exams.
On the 25th of August, we celebrated Wear it Purple, which is an annual LGBTIQA+ youth awareness day. On Monday students were able to wear purple accessories and participate in giant board games next to the sand volleyball courts and listen to music. In addition, this week there has been a giant lolly jar guessing competition for a $1 coin donation to be donated by the wellbeing team.
Kind Regards, Kiara Huynh
