Summer Garden Goodness
Last week the Year 6 classes spent time exploring the garden, seeing what was growing, and identifying a large variety of fruit, vegetables and fragrant herbs. We made a long list with over 30 different varieties found, here's some of what we discovered…..
We saw borlotti beans camouflaged in their leaves and peaches hiding beneath the trees
We spotted green beans climbing to the sky and lots of pollinators passing by.
We spent time smelling all our most fragrant plants and herbs, identifying each and discussing some uses. We are looking forward to using some of these plants in the kitchen in the coming weeks.
