đ R U OK? DAY 2026 - ASK R U OK? EVERY DAYÂ đ
At Viewbank College, weâve been taking the time to pause, check in and remind each other that no one has to face things alone.
R U OK? Day is all about checking in with the people around us, starting meaningful conversations and reminding each other that we donât have to face things alone. Sometimes asking âAre you OK?â and genuinely taking the time to listen can be the first step towards someone feeling supported and connected.
And at VBC, weâve been putting that message into action!
A huge thank you to The Burn Team and our amazing student leaders for creating our 2026 Viewbank College R U OK? Day awareness video. Their student-led video was shared with all Period 1 classes today, helping to get the conversation started across the College.
Our school has also been filled with R U OK? posters, reminders and conversations, helping to keep the message front and centre.
Our Wellbeing Team have been out and about throughout the day, checking in with students and staff and, of course, looking the part in their R U OK? merch!
And it hasnât just been about today! Throughout the week, staff have been getting involved in our R U OK? Coffee Roulette taking a little time out to connect, have a chat and check in with a colleague from a different department who they might not usually get the chance to catch up with. Sometimes a coffee and a conversation is all it takes to make someoneâs day a little brighter.
And while weâve been checking in at school, donât forget to take the conversation home too. Check in with your family, your friends, your kids, your partner, your siblings, your neighbour - anyone who might need to hear that someone cares.
Letâs use today as an opportunity to check in, listen, connect and look out for one another - not just today, but every day.
Ask the question. Start the conversation. You never know how much it might mean.
