A Heartfelt Thank You

The staff, students, and families of Sacred Heart Primary School would like to say a big thank you to Rotary Central Murray Sunrise for their generous support of our literacy program, and in particular our take home readers.

With their donation, we have been able to purchase 785 brand new decodable readers across 146 titles. These books are already in the hands of our students, travelling home to more than 70 families. For many children, they’ve opened the door to reading success, building confidence, fluency, and a love of books.

It has been wonderful to see students proudly reading independently and sharing their achievements with their families. None of this would have been possible without Rotary's support, and we are so grateful for the difference they are making in our school community.

Jo Seal attended a breakfast meeting this morning to present a thank you and share with the group how these readers are helping our students. Keep your eyes out on Facebook for a little presentation that she shared with Rotary.
