For our school Family Breakfast Day, we’re excited to announce a fun fundraising initiative to support our school – a Raffle Basket Fundraiser! Each class will be creating themed baskets to be raffled, and we’d love your help in making them amazing!
We’re kindly asking families to consider donating new items that fit our classroom’s basket theme. These could be anything from treats, toys, books, pamper products, or other goodies – every contribution helps and adds to the excitement!
Your donations will go directly into our classroom baskets, which will be raffled to raise funds for new sporting equipment for the school.
Donation Deadline: Monday 8th September
Basket Theme: Check your child’s class theme below
Drop-off Location: Classroom basket or school front office.

Sacred Heart Primary Yarrawonga warmly invites parents to a series of information session on the Science of Learning. These sessions have been specifically designed by Dr Jared Cooney Horvath for parents and carers, focusing on how to understand and support children on their learning journey.
· Session 1 – Stress, Tech and Sleep (Monday 1st September)
· Session 2 – Surviving Study – Understanding the three keys to learning and memory (Wednesday 17th September)
· Session 3 – Brain Development – Why we act like we do (link shared with parents following Session 2. Parents can then view this video at a time that suits)
By better understanding the ‘brain science’ that underpins how we learn, we can create a learning environment and tailor our learning and teaching approach to better impact our students.
These information sessions are now available for online viewing or at school (on screen).
More information will be shared in the coming weeks and can also be found in the letter included in this newsletter. Please save these dates (1/9 and 17/9).
