We have a big week in Sport this week at Sacred Heart.

In P.E lessons we are continuing to conduct Athletics trials in preparation for our Sacred Heart Athletics Carnival which will be held on Friday 12th September.

Just a reminder also that during these trials in lessons we will select a Divisional Athletics team. The Divisional Athletics team in not selected on results from the Sacred heart Athletics day. As this is an extremely busy day and the focus is more on giving students an opportunity to participate in multiple events and expose them to some friendly competition.

State Football Finals – Thursday 21st August

Good luck to Mr Kennedy and. Mr Hagreaves as they take our AFL 9s footballers to Melbourne early Thursday morning.

We wish them all the best in their three games throughout the day.

The boys will be playing at La Trobe University Bundoora and will play three games throughout the day. The boys will play games against Yarrambat PS, Woodford PS and St Joeseph's Echuca. We look forward to hearing how our team performs, and we are already super proud of their efforts.

Lightning Premiership – Friday 22nd August

On Friday we have our annual Year 5/6 Lightning Premiership. All Year 5 and 6 students are looking forward to some friendly competition amongst some of our nearest schools. Students will participate in Tee Ball, Soccer, Football or Netball.

Football and Netball will be held at Vic Park.

Tee Ball at SHPS and Soccer at Yarrawonga P-12.

Finally, congratulations and best of luck to all our students and staff who are competing in finals for their chosen sports over the next few weeks.
