Deputy Principal
Year 7 and 10
The rain has stopped, and the air is warm and we are again enjoying some beautiful weather. Our Year 7 boys are being strongly encouraged to get out at lunch and play on the oval. Much of what we do at school is about developing good habits and a little exercise every day fits the bill.
Year 7 has been with us for almost three terms now and know the ways of our school and are feeling more comfortable in the playground. I have had to remind them about the importance of "hands off" with each other as often little issues can lead to bigger problems. One of our key values at schools is respect - this includes respecting the space of others. Please reinforce this with your son. Your help at home is appreciated.
My theme this year for Year 10 is CHOICE. The big focus this term continues to be Subject Selection for 2027. The boys have now all chosen their subjects for Year 11, this is exciting for them because they are planning for their futures. Good choices are important. Years 11 and 12 are more impactful when the boys are interested in their subjects.
My next focus with Year 10 is preparing for the final exams in Term 4 and looking forward to the Year 10 Camp. we do the hard work first and then we enjoy ourselves.
Year 10 Final Exams - starts Monday November 9
Year 10 Camp - starts Wednesday December 9
