Inclusive Education 

Students finished Term 2 on a high with an enjoyable Tenpin Bowling Fun Day. The excursion provided a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate their achievements, socialise with their peers and practise important community participation skills. There was plenty of friendly competition, encouragement and excitement as students took turns attempting strikes and cheering on their classmates. It was fantastic to see everyone participating positively and enjoying the day.

Following the school holiday break, students have returned to school refreshed and have settled into Term 3 extremely well. They have quickly re-established their classroom routines and have approached their learning with enthusiasm. Staff have been impressed by the positive attitudes, cooperation and engagement demonstrated across the first few weeks of the term.

Many students have also been involved in important planning meetings with their families, teachers and support staff. These meetings have focused on future pathways, subject selections and personal goals moving forward. Students have been encouraged to think about their strengths, interests and possible education, training, employment and community participation opportunities.

Students have also participated in several valuable excursions. A group of year 10 students were fortunate enough to attend a Japanese cultural excursion to the Auburn Botanic Gardens, where they explored the beautiful gardens and developed their understanding of Japanese culture and traditions.

Year 11 students attended the Bstreetsmart Road Safety Program, which was an engaging, interactive and highly informative experience. The highlight of the program was a live re-enactment of a serious motor vehicle crash. Students watched as emergency services arrived at the scene, assessed the situation and worked together to assist those involved. This realistic demonstration provided students with a powerful understanding of the consequences of unsafe road choices and the important roles performed by police, paramedics and firefighters.
