The Selfie 

In Visual Arts, Year 9 students have been exploring identity, self-expression, and contemporary issues through the creative theme of The Selfie. Using ceramic handbuilding techniques, they have designed and constructed engaging figurative sculptures that communicate personal narratives and social critiques of the world around them. Throughout the project, students have developed technical skills in surface treatment while gaining an understanding of contemporary artistic practices and procedures, resulting in unique artworks that reflect both creativity and critical thinking. 

We look forward to sharing these impressive works at our CAPA Showcase, Illuminate, on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th August from 4:30 pm.
