Year 12 Geography Excursion

Our Year 12 Geography students recently participated in an engaging fieldwork excursion to Barangaroo with the Observatory Hill Environmental Education Centre. Throughout the day, students investigated the transformation of Barangaroo from a former industrial waterfront into a world-class, sustainable urban precinct. They collected and analysed primary data through field observations, mapping, surveys and environmental assessments while examining the social, economic and environmental changes that have shaped the area. This valuable hands-on experience strengthened students' geographical inquiry and fieldwork skills, providing authentic links to the HSC Rural and Urban Places topic and deepening their understanding of urban renewal and sustainability in action.
