Mary: A Model of Hope, Faith and Discipleship
As we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption on Saturday, we are invited to look to Mary as a model of hope, faith and discipleship. Mary's Assumption reminds us that God's promise is greater than anything this world can offer. Her life was marked by a simple yet courageous "yes" to God, trusting Him even when the path ahead was uncertain.
Through an Oblate lens, Mary inspires us to be pilgrims of hope, attentive to God's presence among the people we serve, especially those on the margins. Like St Eugene de Mazenod, who sought to bring the Gospel to those most in need, we are called to carry Christ into our families, classrooms and communities with compassion and joy.
As we honour Mary, may we be encouraged to place our trust in God, to live with hearts open to others and to remember that our journey of faith is always directed towards the fullness of life God promises.
"Mary Immaculate, whose Assumption we celebrate, pray for us and help us to say 'yes' to God each day."
