Level 3

Welcome back to Term 2! It already feels like we've done so much and it's only week 2!
Literacy
During our Reading sessions, we have been analysing 'The Lorax', which also ties in perfectly with our inquiry unit. We looked at what being a good community member means, why we have rules and laws in place, and the impact we can have on the environment and our own surroundings.
For Writing, students have really enjoyed exploring poems and having a go at writing some themselves.
Some of the poems they have done include: Biography, diamante and Kennings.
Numeracy
In our Maths sessions, students have been learning all about angles. They have gone on angle hunts, made their own angle finders, and also had a go at using protractors.
Cross Country
On Tuesday the 28th of April, students participated in Cross Country. This was a big one for our grade 3 students as they had to complete 2km in comparison to the 1km in previous years. We are so proud of each and every one of them for giving it their all.
Assembly
On Friday the 24th of April, 3BA and 3AK performed at assembly. They sang and danced along to a song all about celebrations, which was the focus of our term 1 inquiry unit. It was wonderful to see the students enjoying themselves and all the parents that came to watch.
ANZAC Day
On Friday the 24th of April, we also had a special assembly to celebrate ANZAC Day. Students made wreaths during class and did other activities to better understand why we acknowledge this day and its signifcance.
