Danielle Wadley, Acting Assistant Principal
As my first official newsletter message as Acting Assistant Principal of
Skye Primary School, I wanted to take the opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you.
I am incredibly grateful to the staff, students and families who have congratulated me in person or taken the time to send an email or message. Your kind words, encouragement and support have meant a great deal, and I truly appreciate your kindness.
I am excited to step into this role and grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting our wonderful Skye community. Student wellbeing and inclusion has always been a passion of mine, and I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff and partnering with families to ensure every student feels safe, supported, valued and empowered to thrive.
I am proud to be part of such a caring and inclusive school community and am looking forward to all that we will achieve together throughout the remainder of the year.

During the week of Monday, the 17th to 21st of August, Skye Primary School will be particpating in 'Bullying No Way Week'. This initative is a way to support the prevention of bullying in schools and at Skye, we aim to foster a shared understanding of bullying behaviour, looking for strategies for prevention.

This year's theme is 'Small Acts, BIG Impact'. Bullying is everyone’s responsibility, and small acts can make a real difference. This year’s theme reminds us that actions don’t need to be big to change someone’s world.
Small actions – like including someone, speaking up or showing kindness – can create meaningful change.
At Skye, our goal is to build an environment where everyone belongs, diversity is celebrated and bullying is never accepted.

And keep your eyes peeled for information coming next Tuesday about 'Do it for Dolly Day!'
