Skye Students Shine at the Math Minds Challenge!

We are incredibly proud of Ava R, Charlotte J, Hazel M and Maddie G, who recently represented Skye Primary School at the Math Minds Challenge hosted by Mentone Girls' Grammar. The competition brought together talented Year 3 and 4 mathematicians from 13 schools, challenging students through a series of collaborative mathematical problem-solving activities designed to promote logical reasoning, teamwork and persistence.

Our team demonstrated exceptional mathematical thinking, resilience and collaboration across every challenge throughout the day. Their hard work and determination paid off as they were crowned the overall winners of the competition, finishing ahead of the other participating schools. This is a remarkable achievement and one they should all be incredibly proud of.

The event organisers were equally impressed with the way our students conducted themselves, sharing the following feedback:

"Your girls were wonderful ambassadors for Skye. They represented the school with enthusiasm, teamwork and outstanding sportsmanship, and they should be incredibly proud of themselves. They certainly did Skye proud."

This wonderful feedback reflects not only the girls' mathematical ability but also the values they demonstrated throughout the day. They represented our school with confidence, kindness and respect, embodying the spirit of Skye Primary School in every challenge.
