Literacy:
In Little Learners, we are learning the sounds 'ce' making the /s/ sound, as in space, and 'ge' making the /j/ sound, as in ginger.
In Writing, we have finished exploring Where the Forest Meets the Sea and are beginning a new text, Looking After Country with Fire: Aboriginal Burning Knowledge with Uncle Kuu. Through this text, students will make connections to their own experiences, learn new vocabulary, and continue developing their sentence and writing skills. We will also be learning about persuasive writing and giving students the opportunity to have a go at writing their own.
Math:
In Math, we are learning about visual and number patterns and exploring how they are created and continued. Students will identify, create and extend patterns using numbers, shapes, colours and objects, while developing their ability to recognise and explain the rules that make each pattern.
A way to help at home is to help your child count in 2s, 5s and 10s. There are some fun Scratch Garden videos on YouTube that the students like to sing along to.

In Wellbeing we are learning about our personal strengths and qualities. Talk to your child about what you are good at and what they think they are good at. The possibilities are endless. Some are being kind, creative, sporty, helpful, funny and many more!
