Literacy

Our Grade 3 students have been exploring the fascinating history of Ancient Rome, learning about the legend of Romulus and Remus, Roman gods and goddesses, and how Rome grew from a republic into a powerful empire. Over the next fortnight, they will continue discovering important events and people, including Julius Caesar, Augustus, the Punic Wars and the long period of peace known as the Pax Romana. Students will also investigate why the Roman Empire eventually came to an end and how Roman ideas, language and government continue to influence the world we live in today.

Maths

In Maths, students have been building their confidence with multiplication and division by using arrays, the box model and the CUBES strategy to solve equations and word problems. We have also been exploring the features of 3D shapes by identifying and describing their faces, edges and vertices.
