Deputy Principal's Message

A Wonderful Term of Learning Ahead
Term 3 promises to be another exciting and engaging term at St Fidelis, with students participating in a wide range of rich learning experiences, excursions, incursions and community events. Our Inquiry learning this term will have a strong focus on Biological Science and Design and Technologies.
Throughout the term, students will enjoy a variety of excursions and incursions that enrich classroom learning, including:
- Foundation, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 5/6 Zoo Excursions
- Year 2 Aquarium Excursion
- Foundation and Year 1 Brickulum Incursion
- Kids Helpline Wellbeing Incursions
These experiences provide authentic opportunities for students to connect their classroom learning with the wider world.
STEM MAD
Our Year 5 and 6 students, under the guidance of Mr Frazzetto, will once again participate in STEM MAD (Make A Difference). Students are designing innovative products, services or solutions that positively impact people or the environment. We look forward to seeing their creativity on display and wish all teams the very best as they prepare their submissions.
Bullying No Way: National Week of Action
During the National Week of Action, our school will participate in activities promoting this year's theme, "Everyone Belongs." Throughout the week, students will explore the importance of inclusion, kindness, respect and belonging, reinforcing our commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment where every child feels valued.
Book Week 2026
We are excited to celebrate Children's Book Week from 24–28 August. This year's theme, "Book an Adventure," encourages students to discover the excitement, imagination and endless possibilities that reading can inspire. As always, we will conclude the week with our much-loved Book Week Parade on Friday, where students are invited to dress as their favourite book characters as we celebrate a shared love of reading.
Father's Day Celebration
We warmly invite all fathers, grandfathers and special father figures to join us for our Father's Day Breakfast and Assembly on Friday 4 September. The morning will include breakfast, prayer, an assembly and classroom activities with your child. We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with our school community.
Curriculum Overviews
Our Term 3 Curriculum Overviews are attached below and provide an overview of the learning planned for each year level this term. We encourage you to take the time to read these, along the numeracy, literacy and your child's year level newsletter page each week. These updates provide valuable insights into classroom learning and include practical ideas and resources to support your child's learning at home.
We look forward to another fantastic term of learning, discovery and community at St Fidelis and thank our families for their continued partnership and support.
