Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Last Friday, we were delighted to celebrate Grandparents' Day at St Fidelis, giving us the opportunity to honour the love, wisdom and guidance that grandparents bring to their families. It was wonderful to see the joy and connection between our students and their special visitors.

A sincere thank you to all the grandparents and family members who joined us, making the day so memorable. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous parents who donated items for the morning tea and to our Parents and Friends volunteers and school community members who helped prepare, serve and organise everything in the hall. Your support and generosity were greatly appreciated and helped make the celebration such a wonderful success.

Celebrating Milestones

Today our Foundation students celebrated the exciting milestone of 100 Days of School. It was a wonderful day filled with fun learning activities, laughter and celebration as students reflected on their first 100 days of learning and growth. A highlight of the day was seeing our Foundation students dressed as 100-year-olds, with their creative costumes bringing plenty of smiles and joy. The celebration included a special parade for parents, who were invited to join the festivities.

It was a memorable occasion and a wonderful way to recognise how much our youngest learners have achieved in their first 100 days of school.

Confirmation

We look forward to a very special week as our Year 6 students continue their journey towards receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Throughout the week, the students will participate in a range of faith-filled experiences, including their Confirmation Retreat Day, a visit from Fr Brendan Reed, the Family Faith Night with Sarah Smith, and their rehearsal at St Joseph's Church. These opportunities will encourage prayer, reflection, learning and a deeper understanding of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as the children prepare to celebrate this important sacrament.

We keep our Confirmation candidates and their families in our prayers as they approach this significant milestone in their faith journey. May this week be one of joy, reflection and spiritual growth as they prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday 1 August at St Joseph's Church, Brunswick.

We wish all of our candidates every blessing as they continue this special journey of faith.
