Rest and Refresh: Preparing for the School Holidays

Congratulations to all our students for reaching the mid-year mark and completing Term 2. Our children have worked hard over the last ten weeks to build on their skills and maintain their positive routines.

The upcoming winter holidays are a well-deserved opportunity for everyone to rest. After a busy and productive term, this break offers students the perfect chance to reset and recharge. If your schedule allows, it is also a wonderful time to enjoy some quality moments together, whether that means a cosy afternoon at home or a local outing.

Staying on Track

While the holidays are a time to relax, it helps to keep some simple habits in place. To help your child have a smooth start to Term 3, we suggest:

  • Bedtime Routines: Try to keep bedtimes close to the usual school nighttime. This helps children stay well-rested.
  • Screen Time: Try to balance time on tablets or TV with plenty of play, reading, or outdoor time.

Keeping these routines "on track" makes the transition back to school much easier for your child.

Local Activities and Care

For families looking for local activities, the Wyndham City Council offers many programs and events. You can view the full schedule here: Wyndham School Holiday Activities.

We also understand that many of our parents will continue to work during the break.

Big Childcare is available to support your family with holiday programs. You can find more information and booking details here: Big Childcare Information.

We wish all our families a safe and relaxing break. We look forward to seeing everyone back for Term 3, refreshed and ready to learn.
