TRPS Choir

Reconciliation in Australia is about building respectful relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, acknowledging past injustices, and working towards a more equal future. For the Tarneit Rise Primary School Choir, it has been important to recognise this history. As we continue to learn, listen, and educate through music and powerful messaging, we move towards healing together as a nation.
The Tarneit Rise Primary School Choir has created its own arrangement of “Beds Are Burning”, a powerful Australian song by Midnight Oil that calls for justice and recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Its message reminds us that history cannot be ignored and that change is necessary.
The TRPS Choir is also looking forward to rehearsals in Semester 2 as they prepare for their first ever Eisteddfod, participating in the Ballarat Royal South Street Society Eisteddfod in August.
Wishing everyone a wonderful final week of Term 2 and a safe and enjoyable school holiday break.
